Neonatal Resuscitation
(NRP)
NRP is an American Academy of Pediatric course that has been designed to teach an evidence-based approach to resuscitation of the newborn. The causes, prevention, and management of mild to severe asphyxia in newborns are carefully illustrated so that healthcare professionals may develop optimal knowledge and skill in resuscitation. NRP management techniques are taught utilizing lecture, videos, and interactive skills stations. Instructors for the program represent nurses and physicians that utilize the NRP techniques every day. Continuing education credit may be offered. There is no cost for Hendrick Health System employees.
