About Ranjana

Dr. Ranjana Nigalye is board certified in family medicine and has been providing care to the residents of the Central Texas area since September 2001. She has a special interest in women’s health concerns. As a family practice physician, Dr. Nigalye delivers a range of acute, chronic and preventive medical care services.

In addition to diagnosing and treating illness, she also provides preventive care, including routine checkups, health-risk assessments, immunization and screening tests, and personalized counseling on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Family physicians also manage chronic illness, often coordinating care provided by other subspecialists. She encourages living a healthy lifestyle for disease prevention and enjoys long term relationship with her patients.

Dr. Nigalye graduated from Gajra Raja Medical College in Gwalior, India, in 1986. She received her diploma certification in obstetrics and gynecology in 1989. She completed her residency in family medicine at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan. She previously served at the Community Outpatient VA Clinic Brownwood, she joined her husband at Brownwood Medical Associates.

Dr. Ranjana and her husband Dr. Narendra have two daughters Maitreyee and Aishwarya and enjoy their family time together. When she is not working, she enjoys various disciplines of yoga, cross cultural and Indian cooking and does aerobic exercise.
