Joint Replacement Education

woman holding bone teaching a classOur specialized Joint Venture class offers you and your caretaker information and tools regarding joint replacement of the hip or knee. Our staff walks you through the process from pre-operative activities to going home. Joint Venture gives you a chance to:

  • Prepare for your joint replacement surgery from pre-admission to care at home
  • Meet members of the multidisciplinary team who will be caring for you every step of the way
  • Learn how you and your caretaker can be active participants in your care

During Your Stay

During your stay, our social worker and case manager will help set up equipment and home health services or skilled placement for when you are ready to discharge. Dietitians are available to meet your special needs. Physical therapists and occupational therapists will develop a plan of care to promote the highest level of function and independence after surgery.
