About This Event
Details:The Childbirth Complete class prepares the expectant mother and her support person for the birthing experience. The class is designed for first time mothers and their support person. The class should be taken four to eight weeks prior to your due date.
In this class, you will receive information regarding:
- Pregnancy warning signs
- Signs of preterm labor
- Labor signs
- Stages of labor
- Pain management options including natural birthing techniques, narcotics and epidural
- Medical interventions
- Cesarean delivery
- Postpartum care
- Newborn care
- How to get breastfeeding off to a great start
- The childbirth experience at Hendrick
A light breakfast will be provided with a one hour break for lunch. All classes are offered free of charge through The BirthPlace at Hendrick.
