Visitation

We know you are concerned about your loved one and want to spend time together. You are often the best medicine! However, another important factor contributing to recovery is adequate rest. The visitation guidelines are designed to provide a safe environment for all who enter Hendrick Health facilities. These guidelines are not comprehensive and other restrictions may apply.

Visitors Must:

  • Be able to safely stay alone
  • Take care of own needs
  • If under the age of 18, be accompanied by an adult other than the patient
  • Follow hospital staff instructions
  • Not infringe upon the rights or safety of others
  • Not be medically or therapeutically contraindicated
  • Pass infectious disease screening upon entry to facilities and wear appropriate personal protective equipment, if required.

Visiting Hours:

(Unless noted in the department-specific guidelines below)

Hendrick Medical Center (main): 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Hendrick Medical Center South: 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood: 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Quiet Time: All units have designated quiet times displayed for your convenience. Quiet time is observed on most patient floors between 2 - 4 p.m. and 1 - 4 a.m. During these times, visitors are limited to emotional support and/or the patient's designated person(s).
