About Daniel

Daniel Altstatt, MD, is board certified in urology through the American Board of Urology and has been serving Brown County since 2006.

Dr. Altstatt graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School with his Doctor of Medicine and completed his internship in general surgery and urology residency at Penn State/Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Prior to attending medical school, he received a Certificate of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science degree in Maryland.

Dr. Altstatt proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a controlman on board USS Carl Vinson and was honorably discharged in 1989. He felt that the urology specialty provided a great mix of medicine and surgery, which is often very challenging. It provides many opportunities for the improvement to his patients quality of life which is very rewarding.

He also shared that the Brownwood area was a great community that often comes together to help one another in need. Dr. Alstatt has enjoyed living in the Brownwood area and thought this was a great place to raise children. In his spare time he enjoys spending it with his children and sometimes finds time for the sport of hunting.
