Maricarmen Martinez-Aponte, MD, received her medical degree from the Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic and completed her residency at the Universidad Central del Caribe in Puerto Rico.

"Internal Medicine allows me to be a doctor and an educator, while connecting in a meaningful way with my patients and families," said Dr. Martinez-Aponte. "I love being part of a profession focused on helping others and facilitating healthier and happier lives.

"As an internist, Dr. Martinez-Aponte treats a broad and comprehensive spectrum of illnesses that affect adults, diagnosis and treatment of chronic illness, and most important preventive health and disease prevention. Dr. Martinez-Aponte is bilingual in English and Spanish.
