About Steven

Steven Smith, MD, is a part of Hendrick Clinic Gastroenterology. Dr. Smith received his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock. He completed his residency and fellowship in gastroenterology at Baylor Scott and White in Temple.

“As a native Texan, I always planned to return to this area to provide quality care for West Texas communities,” said Dr. Smith. “I enjoy the variety of patients I see in gastroenterology in both the hospital and the clinic setting.”

Dr. Smith is a board-certified gastroenterologist who uses endoscopic studies to evaluate patients with a broad range of gastrointestinal problems.
