Hendrick Hospice Care offers two programs on grief and the holidays

For some, the holidays can become a painful reminder of a loved one’s absence. Although there is no quick fix for getting through the holidays, Hendrick Hospice Care offers two free programs in November to help participants learn how to find hope and healing in the midst of this challenging season.

  • “Grieving as a Family During the Holidays,” Saturday, Nov. 4, 10 a.m. – noon. A mini-workshop for families with children ages kindergarten – 12th grade who have experienced a loss through death, divorce, separation, incarceration or deployment. There is no cost to attend but registration is required and space is limited. Please go online to b.link/gafdth to register.
  • “Grief in the Holidays,” Saturday, Nov. 18, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Seminar for individuals ages 18 and older who have experienced the death of a loved one. A light lunch will be served. There is no cost to attend but reservations are required and space is limited. Please call the RSVP line at 325-670-6999 by Wednesday, Nov. 15, to secure a spot.

Both programs will be at the Hendrick Hospice Care Center, 1651 Pine St. Enter through the Davis Bereavement Center entrance on the North 16th Street side of the building.
