About This Event
Details:The Childbirth Complete class prepares the expectant mother and her support person for the birthing experience. The class is designed for first-time mothers and their support person. The class should be taken four to eight weeks prior to your due date.
In this class, you will receive information regarding:
- Pregnancy warning signs
- Signs of preterm labor
- Labor signs
- Stages of labor
- Pain management options including natural birthing techniques, narcotics and epidural
- Medical interventions
- Cesarean delivery
- Postpartum care
- Newborn care
- How to get breastfeeding off to a great start
- The childbirth experience at Hendrick
A light breakfast will be provided with a one hour break for lunch.
