COVID-19 Community Update and Back-to-School Basics

COVID-19 active cases and hospitalizations are currently trending down. However, community members need to continue practicing safety measures to reduce the transmission of the virus. With the new school year beginning, there are some things parents can do to help their children.

Back-to-School Basics:
  • Wear a mask/have multiple masks available per child
  • Use good hand hygiene
  • Practice social distancing
  • Keep immunizations current
  • Wipe off backpacks and lunchboxes daily with disinfecting wipes
  • Monitor temperature before and after school
  • Do not go to school when sick or with fever

Hendrick Health has put together a video with Brad Holland, president and CEO of Hendrick Health, and Rob Wiley, MD, chief medical officer at Hendrick and local pediatrician, to help parents with back-to-school basics during the pandemic.
