Hendrick Medical Center earns highest marks from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
Hendrick Medical Center has earned the highest rating possible from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), putting Hendrick in the top eight percent of hospitals across the nation. This achievement means that out of the approximate 4,586 hospital measured across the nation, only 407 hospitals earned the top ranking.

“We are very proud to be among the top hospitals in the nation to earn a five-star rating from CMS,” said Brad Holland, president and CEO for Hendrick Health. “Because CMS ratings are among the most cited in the industry, organizations earning this honor must deliver the highest quality, most positive outcomes and patient experiences. It requires every employee doing their job every day, to the very best of their ability.”

CMS publishes hospital data on its website to give consumers useful information to make informed decisions about where to seek healthcare. Currently, 54 measures are available for viewing, ranging from compliance with evidence-based care, patient satisfaction, mortality, readmissions, infection rates, costs and hospital-acquired conditions and complications.
