Hendrick Health recognized as one of the “Best Places to Work in Healthcare"

Hendrick Health has been selected by Modern Healthcare as one of the “2020 Best Places to Work in Healthcare.”

“We are very proud to be included once again among such a prestigious group of healthcare organizations,” said Brad Holland, president and CEO for Hendrick Health. “Creating and maintaining an engaged workforce is critical to everyone - our employees, our organization and our community. I believe the ‘Best Places to Work in Healthcare’ recognition reflects our daily commitment to deliver high quality healthcare emphasizing excellence and compassion consistent with the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.”

The “Best Places to Work” awards program was created to recognize companies that continuously strive to improve their work environment and increase employee engagement, satisfaction and retention through innovative changes in the workplace.

"It has been an especially trying year for the world, and healthcare in particular as COVID-19 ravages our communities and your workplaces," said Aurora Aguilar, Modern Healthcare's editor. "But the organizations recognized on this year's list rose to the top and continued to be a source of strength for their teammates. They have seen their colleagues fall ill to the virus and struggled with the economic impact of the pandemic. The loyalty and trust between employers and their workers is being put to the test now more than ever. We congratulate the “Best Places to Work in Healthcare” for continuing to serve their workforce and communities during such an unprecedented time."

Modern Healthcare compiles a list of outstanding employers in healthcare based on employee responses to a confidential, in-depth survey that provides the basis for an analysis of eight core areas.

The eight areas include:

  1. Leadership and Planning;
  2. Corporate Culture and Communications;
  3. Role Satisfaction;
  4. Work Environment;
  5. Relationship with Supervisor;
  6. Training, Development and Resources;
  7. Pay and Benefits;
  8. Overall Engagement.
