Hendrick temporarily suspends COVID Infusion Clinic

Hendrick Health is temporarily suspending the COVID Infusion Clinic pending further direction and research from the State and from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. At this time, it appears that Sotrovimab is the only monoclonal antibody effective for the omicron variant, and other antibody treatments are ineffective and could potentially cause more harm than good.

We are waiting on additional feedback from the State as to the prevalence of variants in Texas and to determine next steps.

Hendrick continues to urge community members to receive all recommended doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, as it remains the best defense from all current variants. While Sotrovimab may be beneficial against the omicron variant, supplies are limited but are on order from the State.
