Junior Volunteer applications now open at Hendrick Health hospitals

Volunteer Services at Hendrick Health is accepting applications for the summer Junior Volunteer program.
Junior Volunteer assignments for June – August are available at Hendrick Medical Center in north Abilene, Hendrick Medical Center South in south Abilene and Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood in Brownwood.
Applicants must be 14 years of age by Aug. 31, 2024. Assignments are available in several areas of the hospitals, such as information desk, Radiology, Rehabilitation, Central Supply, Clinical Informatics and nursing floors, as well as running the snack cart.
“Being a Junior Volunteer at the hospital is a wonderful opportunity to see all of the clinical and nonclinical career opportunities in healthcare,” said Sabra Knox, manager of Volunteer Services at Hendrick Health. “Volunteering also is a rewarding way to be involved in the community.”
To allow time for a personal interview, applications must be received by May 10, 2024.
Junior Volunteer orientation will be June 3, 2024, for Hendrick Medical Center and Hendrick Medical Center South in Abilene and June 4, 2024, for Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood in Brownwood.
