“Health 101: A Foundation Built on Literacy” is the theme for the Hendrick Health Wellness Fair, set for Saturday, May 2, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Mall of Abilene, 4310 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene.
“Knowledge is powerful in our journey for wellness and better health,” said Brian Bessent, Hendrick Health vice president and chief strategy and experience officer. “The wellness fair is a wonderful opportunity for individuals to learn wellness and preventative health strategies and how to partner with their provider to manage medical issues when they arise.”
Individuals are invited to explore 40 booths and connect with Hendrick Health staff who will be sharing valuable information and resources for supporting physical and mental health through all stages of life.
Attendees can also learn how to monitor vital signs, visit booths to register for prizes and attend health education sessions. Topics include heart attack and stroke, diabetes, nutrition, cancer prevention and behavioral health. The Hendrick Regional Blood Center bloodmobile will also be outside for a blood drive.
“The Wellness Fair is an exciting event for our teams to connect with the community in a nonclinical environment and help empower individuals on their health journey,” said Bessent.
