Hendrick Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield finalize new contract, effective Feb. 27

Hendrick Health announced today that it has finalized a multi-year contract agreement with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX), ensuring that Hendrick Medical Center and Hendrick Medical Center South remain part of the BCBSTX network.

“This agreement, effective Feb. 27, reflects our ongoing commitment to a strong partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, working together to provide high-quality healthcare for our community,” said Brad Holland, president and CEO of Hendrick Health. “Thank you to the community for your patience during this time.”

The agreement applies to hospital services in Abilene, to all Hendrick Clinic and Hendrick Anesthesia Network providers and to Hendrick Home Health. The negotiations did not impact Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood.
