Hendrick Medical Center files all types of insurance, including FIRSTCARE and Medicaid. Hendrick also is a contracted TRICARE Prime facility. It generally takes 30-45 days for us to receive payment from the insurance company. If you have not received word from your insurance company at the end of 90 days, please give us a call. If your insurance has not paid us at the end of 120 days, we will pass the balance of the visit to you.

If you get a bill and we have not filed your insurance, please contact us. Billing statements go out approximately every 30 days. An itemized statement of charges will be provided upon request. Please allow 5-10 business days for delivery.

If you are not covered by health insurance, you may be eligible for Medicaid. Hendrick Medical Center provides an on-site representative if you are interested in applying for Medicaid. You may contact Hendrick Medical Center at 325-670-4160 to find out if you are eligible.
The following list of accepted insurance plans is subject to change prior to notice. Health plans may require a primary care physician’s referral or have other prerequisites before care is scheduled. Please verify coverage of services provided at Hendrick Health prior to scheduling your procedure by visiting your insurance provider’s website or calling the customer service number listed on your insurance identification card.

If you are uninsured you will receive a 35 percent discount. You can earn a 50 percent discount by paying your bill in advance or as soon as you receive the first statement before the end of 30 days.
We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards. Payment can be made in person at the Hendrick Service Center, any of the admissions areas or pay online.
If you are unable to pay your bill in full, whether you are paying your patient portion after insurance or you are uninsured, we ask that you please call 325-670-4160 to speak to a financial counselor about resource assistance.
Any personal overpayments will be refunded within 30 days.
