UnitedHealthcare Commercial Health Plans and Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood

As part of our routine contract renewal process with insurance providers, Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood and UnitedHealthcare have been negotiating a new contract agreement. We have extended the original contract end date to March 31, 2026.

For Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood patients, nothing changes right now. Please keep all scheduled appointments and continue receiving care as usual. The negotiations include contracts for Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood. All Hendrick Clinic and Hendrick Anesthesia Network providers in Brownwood remain contracted with UnitedHealthcare.

Our goal is to reach a fair agreement that allows Hendrick Health to continue providing high quality and lifesaving care to you and our community. A fair and reasonable contract helps us attract and retain skilled doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals, ensuring you have access to advanced and expert medical care close to home.

During this process, you may receive communications from UnitedHealthcare indicating that Hendrick Health may become “out of network” for commercial health plans. While these are standard notifications during negotiations, we want to assure you that we are continuing in good faith to reach an agreement.
