To Keep You Safe

COVID-19 Screening
All visitors, patients and staff are screened at designated entry points for COVID-19 symptoms. Everyone entering Hendrick facilities will undergo a no-touch thermometer scan and be asked screening assessment questions. This screening is based on CDC guidelines for identifying respiratory illnesses, including coronavirus.

Symptoms of COVID-19:

  • Fever

  • Shortness of breath
  • Sore throat
  • Weakness
  • Muscle pain
  • Diarrhea

  • Loss of smell

If you experiencing any of these symptoms or have had direct contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, you are encouraged to access our virtual triage screening tool, available 24/7. Increased Cleaning Protocols

Hendrick continues working to make sure all care sites are clean and safe. Added precautionary cleaning activities include:

  • Enhanced UV light sterilization;
  • Designated campus cleaning teams dedicated to clean all high-touch surfaces in public areas;
  • Daily terminal cleaning of all public spaces, including continuous rounding during the day to disinfect.

Masks/PPE

All patients, visitors and staff are required to wear the appropriate form of personal protection equipment, covering the nose and mouth. Cloth coverings or masks will be available for individuals if they do not have one.

Hand Sanitizing Stations - sanitizing stations are located at entry screening points. Please use these upon arrival and departure while also practicing good hand hygiene for the duration of your visit.

Visitation

To keep everyone safe, we will continue to limit the number of visitors to one essential person per patient. Anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or is awaiting test results, will not be allowed to visit patients or accompany patients undergoing treatment, surgeries or procedures.

Additionally, under most circumstances, patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 or are awaiting test results, will not be allowed to have visitors. (Exceptions may apply)

All Hendrick facilities, including waiting rooms, will adhere to safe social distancing – individuals to keep at least six feet apart from others.
