
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Holland became president and CEO of Hendrick Health in January 2019. He came to Abilene from Cedar Park Regional Medical Center in Cedar Park, located near Austin, where he served as CEO since 2012.
As Cedar Park Regional Medical Center CEO, Holland was responsible for successfully developing multiple service lines, including pediatrics, interventional cardiology, neurology and stroke services.
Holland’s healthcare career began in 2000 as director of operations for Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 2003, he accepted the position of chief operating officer (COO) for Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin, Texas. After three years in Lufkin, he relocated to Vicksburg, Mississippi, to become administrator and COO for River Region Health System. In 2008, Holland returned to Texas to lead San Angelo Community Medical Center as CEO.
Raised in San Angelo, Holland earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Southwest Texas State University and a master's degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University in San Antonio. He is a Fellow of the American College of Health Executives.
System Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Pearson received a bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University and
a master's degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University
in San Antonio. He served as Director of Managed Care for the Baptist
Memorial Hospital System in San Antonio for two years prior to joining
Hendrick in October 1994. Mr. Pearson is a Fellow in ACHE and is a past
recipient of the ACHE Regent’s Early Career Award. Currently, he
oversees Cardiac Services, Laboratory, Medical Staff Office, Physician
Recruiting and Radiology.
System Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Walker obtained a bachelor's degree in accounting from Freed-Hardeman
University in Tennessee. He received his master's degree from Oklahoma
Christian University. Mr. Walker has extensive hospital accounting experience,
serving as vice president of Finance at Medical Center of Arlington for
three years prior to joining Hendrick in September 2013. He oversees Accounting,
Analytics, Revenue Cycle, Material Management, Information Systems and
Case Management.
System Vice President, Foundation
Mr. Archibald began his tenure at Hendrick in 1994 as Director of Major
Gifts and Planned Giving. He is currently Chief Development Officer, heading
up the Hendrick Medical Center Foundation for more than 25 years. He obtained
his bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Texas A&M University,
as well as a master's degree from Abilene Christian University and a doctorate
degree from Texas Tech University. Mr. Archibald also served as the mayor
of Abilene for 13 years. He is responsible for all of the capital campaigns
for Hendrick Medical Center.
Chief Nursing Officer
System Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer
Ms. Cassle received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the Abilene Intercollegiate
School of Nursing in 2004 and a Master of Nursing Administration in 2007.
She has been serving Hendrick for 29 years. She was initially employed
as a staff nurse for surgical services in 1976, left Hendrick in 1980
and returned in 1987. She has served in various nursing director roles
since 2000 and as vice president and Chief Nursing Officer since January
2013. Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Organization
of Nurse Executives.
System Vice President, General Counsel
With an extensive background in healthcare law, Mr. Evans most recently
served as associate chief legal officer at Sarasota Memorial Health Care
System in Sarasota, Florida. Prior to his time at Sarasota Memorial Health
Care System, he practiced healthcare law with firms in Florida and Tennessee.
Mr. Evans graduated magna cum laude from Wake Forest University with bachelors’
degrees in political science and in communications. He obtained his Juris
Doctorate degree, with honors, from the University of Florida’s
Levin College of Law, and earned a master’s degree in health services
administration, with honors, from the University of Michigan. Mr. Evans
is an active member of the American Health Care Lawyers Association.
System Vice President, Strategic Integration
Ms. Farrell brings a wealth of experience to Hendrick Health, spanning
two decades and across several states. Prior to joining Hendrick Health
in January 2020, she led multiple Community Health Systems (CHS) healthcare
facilities through complex challenges. Her healthcare experience includes
serving as interim chief executive officer, chief operating officer and
project management and transition coordinator for hospitals across the
nation. Ms. Farrell earned a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing
from Phoenix University in Utah, as well as a master’s degree in
business administration from the University of Missouri in Kansas City,
Missouri. She is a registered nurse, and is a Fellow of the American College
of Healthcare Executives.
System Vice President, Quality
Ms. Greenwood joined Hendrick in January 2020 and has been working in healthcare
for more than 30 years. Most recently, she served as Chief Nursing Officer
for Eastland Memorial Hospital District in Eastland. Ms. Greenwood began
her nursing career as a staff nurse and clinic manager in Monticello,
Ark., which predated her long and successful tenure at St. Bernard’s
Healthcare in Jonesboro, Ark. She is a registered nurse and earned an
associate of applied science in nursing from North Arkansas College, as
well as a bachelor of science in Nursing at Jacksonville University in
Jacksonville, Fla. She completed a master’s degree in business administration
from Ellis College of Business at New York Institute of Technology. Ms.
Greenwood is also a Fellow of American College of Healthcare Executives
and a certified professional in Healthcare Quality, in addition to serving
on the Board for Texas Organization of Nurse Executives. She oversees
Performance Improvement, Legal, Risk Management and Compliance.
System Vice President, Hendrick Clinic and Hendrick Anesthesia Network
Mr. Stephenson received a bachelor's degree in 1990 and a master's degree
in 2011 from Hardin Simmons University in Abilene. He has served in various
director roles since 1992. He was the director of Hendrick Provider Network
prior to his current position of vice president of Hendrick Provider Network.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
System Vice President, Infrastructure and Support
Ms. Wade received a bachelor's degree at Hardin-Simmons University in 1994
and a master's degree at Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2014. She
has worked at Hendrick since 2002 and was previously employed by the hospital
for six years. She is a fellow in the American College of Health Care
Executives. She served as the Director of Admissions and the Director
of Human Resources. Since August 2015, she has served as vice president
and oversees Human Resources, Support Services and the Health Club.
System Assistant Vice President, Business Development and Post-Acute Services
Mr. Canada received a Bachelor of Science from Angelo State University, Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Doctor of Science from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. He has worked at Hendrick for eight years, first as a Physical Therapist and most recently as Director of Regional Services.
System Assistant Vice President, Information Technology
Mr. Hart has graduated from the University of Arkansas with bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Nursing and obtained a Master of Science in Healthcare Informatics from the University of Missouri-Columbia, School of Medicine. He joined the Hendrick team in October 2020 with extensive experience in healthcare information technology and most recently served as Vice President of Information Technology at Arkansas Children’s Health System in Little Rock, Arkansas. Prior to that, he served in multiple Information Technology roles including Chief Nursing Information Officer and Clinical Informatics Director.
System Assistant Vice President, Human Resources
Ms. Head received a Bachelor of Science in General Studies from Texas Tech University and a Master of Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois. Courtney has worked at Hendrick for 13 years in Human Resources and has served as the Director of Human Resources for the last seven years.
System Assistant Vice President, Analytics
Mr. Huffington received his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration from Hardin-Simmons University. Mark has worked at Hendrick for 14 years, first in Case Management and then Financial Analysis. He served most recently as Director of Financial Analysis.
Ms. Kelly received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Angelo State University. She has more than 26 years of experience in healthcare and previously served as the Business Office Director at San Angelo Community Hospital. Tave has served as the Director of Business Services for the last five years.
System Assistant Vice President, Supply Chain
Mr. Wood received a Bachelor of Science in Financial Planning from Texas Tech University. Adam has worked at Hendrick for 17 years in Material Management and has served as the Director or Material Management for the last 13 years.
