Krista Baty, BSN, MHA, RN

Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Nursing Officer

Ms. Baty graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 1992. She later earned a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2006. She has 28 years of nursing experience which include leadership roles in Surgery, Medical/Surgical, and ICU. She joined Hendrick in July 2020 as an Assistant CNO with recent CNO experience at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, Scott & White Medical Center Round Rock and Texas Health Presbyterian in Kaufman, Texas.

Brett Emmett, FACHE

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Emmett earned a bachelor of business administration in management and marketing from Texas Tech University in 2004 and completed a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University in San Antonio in 2006. He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, and, in 2016, he earned the Regent’s Award for Early Career Healthcare Executive. Mr. Emmett served as administrative resident and administrative fellow at Mary Black Health System in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and as assistant administrator at Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He returned to Abilene in 2009 as practice manager for Abilene Bone and Joint, and began his Hendrick career in 2011 as director of Regional Services and was later promoted to assistant vice president of business development.

Erich Wallschlaeger, FACHE

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Wallschlaeger earned bachelors’ degrees in accounting and in finance from the University of Colorado in 1994. He joined Hendrick Health with nearly three decades of financial experience, spending the last 11 years as chief financial officer for Cedar Park Regional Medical Center in Cedar Park, Texas. Prior to his role at Cedar Park, he worked in multiple hospitals across Texas, Arizona and New Mexico in administrative CFO capacities.
